Can this thing spend my money?

Capability and permission are different. A system may be technically able to prepare or execute an action, but it should only do so within deliberately granted authority, policy, and any required approval.

What happens if the AI screws something up?

AI can make mistakes. Consequential work should use checks, approval gates, or verification appropriate to the risk instead of treating generation alone as proof that the work is correct.

How much authority does my Executive Partner actually have?

Only the authority deliberately granted within the relevant scope and policy. Reading is different from changing, drafting is different from sending, and preparing an action is different from authorizing it.

Can I stop something while it is running?

The ELEV8 control model is designed so human authority remains superior to delegated execution. Where an execution surface supports takeover, pause, cancellation, or a control lease, the human should be able to reclaim control rather than being locked out by the agent.

If one thing needs my approval, does everything stop?

Not necessarily. ELEV8's Human Gate Queue direction is to pause the branch that genuinely needs human authority while unrelated authorized work continues where possible. Non-urgent gates can be batched into a more coherent decision session.
